Greetings, my name is Christina. I established this site to share my journey as I set out to fulfill my dream of exploring the world and discovering what makes each destination and culture unique.
To the dismay of the neighborhood kids, my sense of adventure has always been with me. Setting up Indiana Jonesesque treks through the woods was a common occurrence. Somewhere along the way I lost this sense of adventure to something called being a responsible adult. You know what I’m talking about, the kind that has a demanding job, mortgage, multiple cars, a child, and credit card debt to buy all of that stuff I did not need.
I was by most standards, successful, but I always felt like something was missing. What I was missing became clear when my talented stylist daughter, Justyne, (visit her at www.grettacole.com) moved on to pursue her own dreams. I was missing an actual life! Up to that point my focus had been in building my career as Mrs. CPA and raising my daughter.
It was around this time that I met my boyfriend, Jonathan, the rugged and slient type my family refers to as Shrek who, gasp, didn’t even have a passport. We quickly remedied that and took our first trip together to Southern Africa. When it came time for us to take the next step as a couple, instead of moving in together, we decided it would be more fun to take a Round the World Trip!
My love for travel stems from a deep curiosity of new places, experiences, food and most importantly people and their stories. Throughout my journey I hope to share a piece of what I learn with you and hopefully inspire you to break out of the norm and live your dreams, whatever they may be.
